About us
CWE — Chinese and Western Exchanges, is one of China's earliest consultancies focused exclusively on cooperation between China and Spain. Founded in Beijing in 2011, with a branch office in Madrid and a resident coordinator in Barcelona, we work on both sides of the relationship — with universities abroad seeking qualified Chinese students, and with Chinese institutions building international programmes.

Europe-focused by design
Deep focus on the European market
Unlike general study-abroad agencies, we concentrate on Europe alone. This focus lets us know the European higher-education system deeply — and today we serve as the China-based admissions office for several leading universities abroad, including the University of Salamanca and the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain. We also pioneered the language-preparatory pathway programme, a preparatory course that takes Chinese students from school-level Spanish to university readiness.
What we do
Our service lines cover cooperative education, exclusive master's cohorts, admissions at every level — from secondary school through to doctoral programmes — and study visits and short programmes. Across China, we promote these programmes through a nationwide network of partner schools and institutions.
Numbers and people
Since 2011 we have helped nearly 10,000 students begin their studies in Spain, with a 99% visa success rate across our applicants. Ninety percent of our team have studied abroad, and many of our leadership have lived and worked in Spain. We believe strong cooperation is built on trust, transparency and long-term commitment.
